On May 15, 2015, Matthew Apperson, the man who shot George Zimmerman, turned himself in to the custody of Lake Mary, Florida Police. This after being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and firing into a moving car. Half of the world was happy to hear of the news that Zimmerman had been shot, hoping Apperson was a neighborhood watchman putting Zimmerman "in his place". The other half, well, didn't care because the news came out of Florida and who gives a shit about Florida.

Kate Chastain, star of Bravo reality show Below Deck, was arrested following a fight with her girlfriend in Melbourne Beach, Florida. Chastain, who is the chief stewardess on the series' charter yacht, was charged with battery by strangulation and domestic violence. Decking her girlfriend gets no bravos from us!

A rocket scientist doesn't always make headlines, at least not for the clothes he wears. Matt Taylor, a scientist for the Rosetta space probe project launched by the ESA to perform a detailed study of a comet, found himself in a bit of a controversy after having appeared on a web broadcast wearing a shirt "decorated with garish comic-book depictions of nubile, but not naked women". Really! Like geeky science guys have never done such things before.
