Rep. Matt Grossell, R-Clearbrook, was arrested in St. Paul in May. He was cited for disorderly conduct and trespassing. This former cop beat up a rent-a-cop while drunk, then refused to leave the hospital. Now he is heading into rehab. Can it get any better? You bet!
So OK... Matt Grossell at one time was a Clearwater County sheriff’s deputy and former Blackduck police chief. The chief no less! Clearly a man of the law.
And oh by the way, now he is a Minnesota state representative where he serves on the House committees for Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform.
So of course his little run-in with the law is right up his alley. Let us 'splain it to you. It's as easy as 1-2-3.
Step 1: Get into a bar fight (there's your public safety)
Step 2: End up in the hospital and get cited for trespassing for refusing to leave. (What do you think.... was it the nurses or the food?)
Step 3: In order to avoid jail and a conviction enter a rehab program (there's your criminal justice reform.)
God bless the USA.
