It was reported this month (March 2015) that "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm had completed a 30-day stint in rehab for his alcohol addiction. He went into rehab, he went out of rehab, and that's what it's all about!
Word of all this came from his spokeswoman, although of course Hamm and his longtime partner, actress-filmmaker Jennifer Westfeld are also asking for "privacy and sensitivity going forward". We thought the best way to do this would be to put the story on the front page of IntoRehab, so here you go!
Hamm opened up a little about this whole ordeal by saying, “...I’ve said in varying ways that acting can be a difficult endeavor, certainly not as difficult as… being a baby heart surgeon, but, it does present its own challenges and so does life....I understand it constitutes news these days... But it’s between me and my family and not something for public consumption.”
Perhaps, but thanks to our friends at TMZ that originally disclosed Hamm going into rehab, we now have what to talk about as well!
Looking into Hamm's past this seems to be a one-time incident, no reports of substance abuse or arrests in the past. Like he said, could just be the job getting to him a bit. But if anyone sees Hamm out at any bars, don't get "mad"... just please take a picture!
