UPDATE: Former Congressman, Michael Grimm, has been sentenced to 8 months in jail for tax fraud. And well, life definitely couldn't be more "Grim" for this guy. He did his best to plead for the mercy of the court but the judge didn't buy it saying to Grimm, "Your moral compass needs some reorientation." And that our friends, is what Rikers is for, or at least whichever country club prison he'll be going to. Original story follows...
On January 9, 2015 New York Jets running back Chris Johnson was arrested in his hometown of Orlando, Florida and charged with a second degree misdemeanor of open carry of a firearm. Uh-oh. Maybe he thought he was supposed to line up in shotgun formation!
On June 24, 2015 Rapper Nipsey Hussle (aka Ermias Asghedom) was arrested after a bottle of codeine was found in his car during a routine traffic stop. Apparently he didn't have a scrip with that bottle so off to jail he went. Looks like Nipsey won't be getting so tipsy from that codeine after all.
In March of 2015 former Grand Slam tennis champion Bob Hewitt was found guilty on two counts of rape and one of sexual assault in a South African High Court. Grand slam on the tennis court, but apparently not in the bedroom for this old man.
For a cold drink the makers of Sprite have found themselves in hot water. And the response has been... well... brutal. Parent company Coca-Cola issued an apology and took down its “#BrutallyRefreshing” ad campaign for Sprite after it sparked a major social media backlash for its sexist and offensive nature. Aiming at a male audience the creators clearly have shot themselves in the foot, which apparently was in their mouth at the time.
Robert Downey Jr, the most talented and promising of all the actors of his time has had troubled times in his past life. He has long been on a mad spree of demolishing himself by means of his long-term addiction to heroin and crack.
On June 24, 2015 Rapper Rick Ross (aka William Roberts) was arrested on charges of kidnapping and assault. Allegedly Ross forced a man into a guesthouse at his suburban-Atlanta estate. He allegedly proceeded to beat the man with a handgun (good thing he didn't shoot him), chipping his teeth and mangling his jaw so badly that the victim was unable to chew food. Well, all we can say is "bottoms up!"
