Actress Meghan Markle is set to tie the knot with Prince Harry on May 19th, and by all accounts, it appears their wedding ceremony is poised to be quite the extravagant affair. This is not surprising, considering it is a royal wedding, however, there is at least one unofficial addition to the ceremony that is already beginning to turn heads. Tyler Dooley, the nephew of the future princess, is heavily involved in the legal marijuana industry and is hoping to bestow some of his product upon the royal couple on their special day. In fact, he’s breeding his own special weed strain for the momentous occasion.
Markle’s Sparkle
The 25-year-old Dooley, who considers himself a ‘pioneer’ in the burgeoning legal weed industry, is developing a new hybrid strain dubbed ‘Markle’s Sparkle,’ in honor of his aunt’s special day.
According to The Daily Mail, Tyler, who is the son of Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr., got into the industry back in 2015, when Oregon first legalized recreational cannabis. Surprisingly enough, the entrepreneur says he no longer smokes the ganj but is all-in on the business side of the plant.
Since 2015, Dooley has captained a variety of roles in the business, including brokering land for growers on commission, maneuvering complex watering and lighting systems, giving grow advice to industry newcomers, and even building some of the state-of-the-art grow facilities throughout the Oregon region.
Although Dooley says he hasn’t seen or spoken to his aunt in almost three years, he thinks she would approve of his career-choice, despite England’s flailing attempts to continue the prohibition of the plant.
“Meghan grew up in California and I am sure has an American view on pot,” Dooley told the Daily Mail.
