When musicians begin touring, it’s almost a given that they’re going to be carrying a little bit of the green with them. It’s part of the creative process, obviously. However, a little discretion goes a long way, especially if you’re not in a very marijuana-friendly state. The rap group Migos obviously did not receive that particular memo, and unfortunately, it cost a few of their friends some jail time, after police discover 420 grams of weed in Migos tour bus.

Migos Tour Bus Searched

According to USA Today, three men were charged in Boone, North Carolina, after police discovered a plethora of drugs inside of the Migos tour bus.

Following one of Migos’ concerts, security officers at the Homes Convocation center smelled a strong odor of cannabis coming from the bus and notified the Boone Police Department. Cops stopped the vehicle on a nearby highway once the rap group left the concert grounds.

Following the search, Jharon Ahmad Murphy, 26, Daryl Irvon McPherson, 25, and 26-year-old Dominic Kevin Spigner were all charged with drug possession.

Murphy, of Snellville, Georgia, was charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, as well as misdemeanor possession of codeine.  McPherson, of Cleveland, Ohio was cited for simple possession of marijuana and codeine, and  Spigner of Smyrna, Georgia, was cited for misdemeanor possession of Xanax.

In total, 420 grams of cannabis and 26 ounces of codeine and Xanax were seized by Boone Police. Murphy was taken into custody by police, and the other two were issued citations.

None of the men charged were members of the band.
