The new name in Midtown’s high-end hair care — competing with Frédéric Fekkai[1] and John Barrett[2] — is Carol Nappi, wife of Alliance Energy founder Sam Nappi.

Carol is the owner of the Salon at Bergdorf Goodman[3], where Barrett and his crew cut and colored for 22 years until relocating[4] to East 57th Street last month.

“Carol was a longtime customer who saw an opportunity,” one insider told me. “This is her project and her passion.”

Nappi reportedly plans to redo the ninth-floor space, which has views of Central Park and was the penthouse apartment of the eponymous Goodmans.

Lorna Boston was hired away from Fekkai to manage the Salon, sources said, prompting a legal letter from Fekkai because Boston had a “restrictive covenant” in her contract.

A half-dozen of Barrett’s stylists and colorists declined to relocate with him, customers report, and are staying at the Bergdorf salon.
