Quest magazine has tightened up its list of the 400 socialites it deems the crème de la crème, and publisher Chris Meigher has also tightened up the guest list to his annual party at Doubles on Thursday.
“If you’re not on the list, you aren’t invited,” Meigher said.
The list got “bloated,” he said. “We had some actual dead people on the list and others who kind of wormed their way on who didn’t belong.”
Meigher didn’t want to name any names. But a comparison shows that Anne Eisenhower is on the list, but not her estranged husband Wolfgang Flöttl. And Beth Rudin DeWoody is on, but not her photographer husband Firooz Zahedi.
“We did some consolidating,” Meigher said. “We had to make room for younger people.”
