Zoe Kazan[1] and Paul Dano[2], who live in Brooklyn and avoid publicity, have secretly collaborated on their most exciting achievement yet — a baby girl.

Sources say Kazan gave birth at the end of August to a baby girl named Alma Bay. The movie-star couple managed to stay so under-the-radar there were no reports Zoe was pregnant, although there were whispers when they both appeared at Cannes Film Festival in May for the premiere of “Wildlife.”

The two first worked together in 2007 on the off-Broadway play “Things We Want.” Five years later, they teamed up again on the movie Kazan wrote, “Ruby Sparks.”

Now the two are getting raves as the co-writers of “Wildlife,” based on a Richard Ford book and Dano’s directorial debut starring Carey Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal. And Kazan is in the Coen brothers’ movie “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” now on the festival circuit.

While Kazan, 35, is bonding with baby Alma, Dano, 34, will be on Broadway with Ethan Hawke in a production of Sam Shepard’s “True West,” starting previews in December.

“Honestly this fall is already an embarrassment of riches for Paul and me, and it hasn’t even really started yet,” Kazan tweeted Aug. 31, with no mention of her baby. “We have the perspective of many other years that were nothing like this, for which I’m also grateful.”

A publicist at Relevant Public Relations, the firm repping both Kazan and Dano, told me, “We don’t have a comment on the story at this time.”
