Hollywood ingénues are crossing their fingers and praying to land the lead role in “The Stylist[1].”

The novel by Hello! magazine’s editor-in-chief Rosie Nixon was optioned for the big screen by the equally blond and British Francesca Dutton — even before its paperback release this month.

The producer, whose movie “Nomis,” starring Henry Cavill[2], hits screens next week, told me she might cast an unknown to play the main character, a young assistant to a stylist who finds herself in LA at the height of awards season dealing with Hollywood’s most difficult divas.

The screenplay is being written by Karen McCullah, who co-wrote “Legally Blonde.”
