Brian Flynn — the Democratic candidate for Congress for Hudson Valley’s 19th District — is getting fabulous support from the LGBTQ community.
Lypsinka, a k a John Epperson, is hosting a fundraiser for Flynn in Kingston on Sunday with the help of fellow drag performers Flotilla Debarge and Victoria Precise.
Flynn, who’s married and has two kids with wife Amy, is the furthest left of the seven Democrats vying to take on the Republican incumbent, Rep. John Faso, who is considered vulnerable.
The committee for his fundraiser includes Debra Messing[1], Molly Ringwald[2], Ryan Murphy[3] and “Nashville” star Kyle Dean Massey.
Gay leader Allen Roskoff, president of the Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club, said, “Brian Flynn has earned the support of the LGBTQ community. He’s a fierce fighter for everyone’s civil rights.”
